Southeast Kansas Recycling Flea Market
Southeast Kansas Recycling Center's Flea Market season is right around the corner. Starting on May 19th 2012 we will host our first Flea Market Saturday of the season. And again following on the third Saturday of each month through October, there will be flea market spaces available on a first come basis.
Those that would like to rent a 10x10 space may call the Southeast Kansas Recycle Center, pay a $10.00 fee, fill out the agreement to secure space at the flea market. That space will include a table which is 7ft. by 2 1/2ft or you may bring your own table if you wish, and for an additional $2.00 they may also rent an additional table, if that is required for merchandise. Spaces paid for on the days of the flea market are on a first come basis.
*No dealers will be allowed at the flea market. Set up time for participants is 7:00am to 8:00am. All vehicles are to be removed from the market area by 8:00am.
Flea market sales hours are 8:00am to 2:00pm. Items not allowed to be sold include animals of any kind, weapons of any kind, including no fireworks, knives, guns, swords, bows and arrows, no pornography and no alcoholic beverages.
In an effort to follow our 3R’s – Recycle, Reduce, Reuse – Southeast Kansas Recycling may accept donations of any recyclable items left at the end of the sale day. Items would include clothing, shoes household items, books and videos. Any other items would be considered on a case by case basis.
So, mark the third Saturday of every month, through October as a day to visit the Southeast Kansas Recycle Center Flea Market. The first sale day is May 21, 2011.
* We say no dealers because our stated mission is to Reduce, Re-use, and Recycle. Simply put, selling a new product is not what we want vendors to do. We want vendors who will put older or used items in the hands of people who will give them a new home and find new life for them.
